    2000 AUCKLAND

    The encounter between Patrizio Bertelli, Prada Group’s Chief Executive Officer, and Argentinian yacht designer German Frers, gives life to Luna Rossa sailing team in 1997, when they decide to participate to the XXX America's Cup.

    2003 AUCKLAND

    In January of 2001 Patrizio Bertelli decides to bring Luna Rossa back on the water and once again challenges the kiwi team.

    2007 VALENCIA

    Of the twelve teams challenging for the trophy, Luna Rossa is the first to set up its base in Valencia, the city chosen to host the thirty second America’s Cup.

    2013 SAN FRANCISCO

    In 2012 Luna Rossa Team Principal, Patrizio Bertelli, will be the first Italian in history to enter the America’s Cup Hall of Fame, and will also be the year in which the revolutionary AC72 is launched.

    2017 BERMUDA

    Luna Rossa decides to pull out of the Cup, following an imposed change to the Class Rule, that had already been approved by all teams challenging for the 35th America’s Cup.

    2021 AUCKLAND

    Luna Rossa declares its challenge, once again with the Circolo della Vela Sicilia, and assumes the role of Challenger of Record for the 36th edition of the America’s Cup.
