Born in Trieste in 1982, Giulio began sailing as a child and over the years gained experience in major international events. In the 2007 America's Cup he was mid-bowman and sail vision manager for Mascalzone Latino. In 2008 he joins Luna Rossa, a team with which he participates in the STP65 races as bowman and in the most important professional circuits, such as Extreme Sailing Series and Audi Med Cup (TP52). During the 34th America's Cup he is responsible for the SL33 catamaran, the two AC45s (Swordfish and Piranha) as well as the logistic aspects related to Luna Rossa's AC72. In 2014 he is Operations Manager of the Cagliari base for Luna Rossa and since 2020 he has been the logistics manager for Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli. The 2024 one will be his fourth America's Cup. In his spare, time he enjoys snowboarding and enduro motor bike racing.
