Born in Rome, Maurizio is a medical surgeon specializing in Maxillofacial Surgery and Head of the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery at SS. Trinità Hospital in Cagliari, Italy. He is also Contract Professor for this discipline at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of the Sardinian capital participates in international humanitarian missions as a specialist in trauma and facial malformations. The Barcelona edition in 2024 was his second America's Cup campaign with the Luna Rossa team. In his spare time, he enjoys windsurfing and sailing.
