Andres studied naval architecture at the University of Quilmes, Argentina. He participated, as part of the design team, in the development of famous racing boats, including ABN Amro I, Ericsson 4 and Groupama (all Volvo Ocean Race winners), IMOCA Open 60 and, most recently, the super-performance catamaran Eagle Class 53. The 2024 America's Cup campaign will be his third (after having competed in the 2013 edition with Artemis Racing, and in the 2021 edition with Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli). In his spare time, he enjoys on-water activities and soccer.
