Julien earned his master's degree in naval engineering at the University of Southampton. He then specialized in process optimization and mechano-composite assembly. He worked for ten years with Decision S.A (Switzerland) in roles that evolved from Boat Builder to Process Manager, dealing with various projects, such as Solar Impulse SIA and SIB builds, Grand Prix and Lake Racers, VOR65, IMOCA, MOD70, Alinghi 5, AC50, and C-Class. Before joining Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli as construction manager (36^th and 37^th America’s Cup), he took part in two other editions of the Cup: 2013 as boat builder with Alinghi and 2017 as project manager for Groupama Team France. The one in 2024 will be his fourth America’s Cup campaign, the second with Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli. He loves sailing, skiing, running, and family outdoor adventures.
