A BE(Hons) graduate with Master Meng (1st Class Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Auckland, Dan has a background in Yacht Aerodynamics. An avid sailor, he has taken part in numerous regattas around the globe and has raced many miles offshore in events such as the Sydney to Hobart and Fastnet Race. He has extensive experience as Project Manager and Design Engineer and has worked for the Volvo Ocean Race (Race Control Operator in 2014/ 2015 and Electronics Team leader in 2016/2019). He was also part of the technical team of SailGP with LivelineFX. During the 36^th Americas' Cup he was part of the Measurement Committee. The one in 2024 will therefore be his second AC, the first with Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli. He is passionate about mountain biking and all water sports, especially SUP.
