Born into an Italian family that moved to Ibiza in the 1970s, Monica grew up at sea, taking her first steps in sailing aboard Optimists; she later switched to windsurfing, Snipe and IMS boats. From 2004 to 2007 she worked for America's Cup Management in the organisation of the 32nd America's Cup; on that occasion she met Peter Reggio - Race Director at the time - who later called her as assistant PRO on the committee boat for several classes (TP52, Farr 40, Melges 30) and for the Louis Vuitton Trophy from 2009 to 2011. In 2013 and 2014 she is local Event Manager for the 52 Super Series in Ibiza. In 2016 he became Head of Race Secretariat for the International Maxi Association (IMA), a position he still holds today. During the 36th America's Cup in 2021 she is Hospitality Manager for the Prada Cup and upon her return she starts working with several SailGP events, with which she is still involved. In her spare time, she enjoys fishing and sailing in the waters of Ibiza and Formentera with her gozzo, playing guitar and piano and touring the island on her Transalp 600.
