MAX SIRENA AND GILBERTO NOBILI SPECIAL GUESTS AT THE VENICE BOAT SHOW

A talk show to tell the story of the Italian Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli challenge in the 36th edition of the America's Cup. The PRADA Cup to be displayed in Italy for the first time.
On May 29, the Salone Nautico di Venezia, (Venice Boat Show), will host the talk show "Luna Rossa and the Moro di Venezia, the great Italian adventures in the America's Cup". Max Sirena and Gilberto Nobili will tell the story of Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli's challenge in the last edition of the America's Cup held in the waters off the coast of Auckland last March.
Max Sirena, skipper and team director, led the team in the recent campaign – the fifth for Luna Rossa – while Gilberto Nobili played the dual role of operations manager - activity coordinator - and member of the sailing team, on board in all the races of the Luna Rossa AC75. Both are highly experienced in America's Cup campaigns, with two victories for Max and three for Gilberto.
Moderated by journalist Antonio Vettese, the talk show will host Tommaso Chieffi, a famous sailor who has taken part in four editions of the America's Cup.
For the occasion, the PRADA Cup, the trophy created by Australian designer Marc Newson and handcrafted by Florentine silversmiths, will be on display in Italy for the first time.
The PRADA Cup was won by the Italian team, winner of the Challenger Selection Series in which Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli won 4-0 over NYYC American Magic in the semi-finals, and 7-1 over the Ineos Team UK in the final.
The victory gave the team access to the role of challenger in the Final Match against America's Cup holders, the New Zealanders, who, after a series of exciting races, managed to defend the prestigious Auld Mug.
The event is on schedule at 6 pm on Saturday 29th May at the Arsenale Area Scali – Sommergibile and can be followed live on social media channels and Youtube of Salone Nautico di Venezia.
