YAMAHA MOTOR EUROPE PARTNERS WITH LUNA ROSSA

Luna Rossa is pleased to announce a new partnership with Yamaha Motor Europe for the 38th America’s Cup.

As Official Supplier, Yamaha will EmPower Luna Rossa’s chase fleet with advanced outboards, integrated systems and full control technologies. The team’s three AC75 support vessels will be equipped with Yamaha’s flagship XTO 450hp V8 outboards. Specifically, chase 1 and chase 3 will feature quadruple installations, while chase 2 will be fitted with a triple installation. All three vessels will be equipped with Yamaha’s Helm Master EX wireless control system, enabling advanced manoeuvrability, seamless control and enhanced operational precision.

Supporting the AC40 programme, including the Youth and Women’s America’s Cup and initial Preliminary Regattas, Yamaha will also EmPower two custom RIBs (chase 4 and chase 5). Each vessel will be fitted with twin white 300hp V6 outboards with integrated Digital Electronic Steering (DES) and equipped with the Helm Master EX joystick control, delivering intuitive handling and responsive control in dynamic on-water conditions.

The collaboration begins ahead of the first Preliminary Regatta in Cagliari, Sardinia (21–24 May 2026), followed by additional events leading into the America’s Cup events in the summer of 2027.
